Kopivosian, Salam Sejahtera and hello to everyone to my i-portfolio. This blog contains part and parcel of my job as a lecturer in UniSZA. Please enjoy my blog and I sincerely hope that you will obtain some information on teaching and learning that might catch your interest and may benefit you.

Associate Prof. Dr Connie Fay Komilus
Majored in Aquatic Animal Nutrition and Quality
I am a certified trainor for Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM), awarded by The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Bay of Bengal Large Marine Ecosystem (BOBLME) Project, the US-Coral Triangle Initiative, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and their collaboration partners which are international aquatic /fisheries management bodies. As a trainor, it is my responsibilities to contribute my efforts and knowledge to Malaysia along with my comrades from the Department of Malaysia and Department of Sabah to produce EAFM warriors in Malaysia. To date, our team had trained more than 400 executives/university graduates/UniSZA university students/fishers communities whom are stakeholders to our aquatic environment. As part of the team, I had successfully introduced EAFM as an elective course in BSc Aquatic Science (with honours), marking UniSZA with a distinctive edge of being the ONE AND ONLY university in Malaysia who incorporated EAFM in undergraduate's syllabus.
# EAFM is Goal 2 in National Plan of Action (NPOA) Malaysia and RPOA (Regional Plan of Action) of Coral Triangle Initiatives (CTI)
#EAFM is the training course endorsed by The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Bay of Bengal Large Marine Ecosystem (BOBLME) Project, the US-Coral Triangle Initiative, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and their collaboration partners
I love travelling and had visited several places in this globe. This is one of my favourite picture taken below Edinburgh Castle, Edinburgh United Kingdom. I hope I will continue to be sane and healthy in coming years. So many more places to see and explore before my life ends.
This must looked odd to some viewers on why I am sitting at the corridor of my faculty. Well....this is one of the obstacle that any academe had to face during execution of their online class. I had to hunt for the line to be able to meet my students virtually.....and it worked....some 50 meters from my room. Thanks to our cleaner who happened to be working near to me...she took this shot for me....and I may have left her an impression that I need some fresh air outside while working with my laptop (LOL).
Morale of this true story : Give and take. for technology may not work everywhere as we expect
This is an excerpt taken from a video on an interview conducted by a form five student at SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin, Penampang Sabah. The topic was about INNOVATION. This is part of my community sharing in the education ecosystem and I always feel that I had done good to the world by simple sharings.
