My Teaching Philosophy
The importance of teaching in medical education is that the client is a human being. The training of soft skills is therefore as important as the teaching of knowledge.
Learning through experience and using previous experience is what will assist students to grow.
Each student has his/her own strength and what we as teachers should do is guide each student to make full use of his/her strengths and share the skills with others.
LEARNING THEORY
Experiential Learning Theory is the theory that guides me through my journey of being an educator. I believe in learning through experience.
Coined by Kolb (1984), learning is through having the experience, reflecting, thinking and practise what one has learned.
MY PASSION FOR TEACHING
Teaching itself is my passion. I love to put creativity into my teaching. That includes online teaching, video creation, game-based learning and interactive teaching.
Teaching the new generations Z and alpha and the new millenium should also be using the most of what the technology can bring us to a different level of teaching.
To me, students should be exposed to different types of teaching methods and delivery, not only in class, one waytraditional lecture teaching
