"Zalina Zahari obtained her BSc Pharmacy (Hons)
from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland in 1999. In her MSc
thesis she developed a nested allele-specific multiplex polymerase chain
reaction method for the detection of DRD2 polymorphisms. Three
manuscripts related to this project have been published in peer review
journals. Her PhD research entitled “A pharmacogenetics study on acute
pain perception among patients on methadone maintenance therapy (MMT)”.
She have published few more articles in peer review journals. Apart from
her presentations at the national conferences, she also had the
opportunities to present her research at the international conferences.
She was also awarded the Prestigious External Award and the best paper
awards."
