Teaching/Supervision Methods
Teaching methods that I always used for my lecture:
1. Interactive Lectures - always keep students engage during the class. Use relevant case studies and examples to help students see the practical application of theoretical knowledge.
2. Flipped classroom - Assign materials for students to review before class and use class time for interactive activities, discussions, and problem-solving exercises based on the pre-class materials. Implement quizzes and reflective activities to ensure students come prepared and understand the material.
3. Collaborative Learning- through group project and discussion.
Supervision methods that I implemented recently:
1. Regular meeting - always have scheduled meeting at least once a week especially with FYP students and master students.
2. Personalized Support - direct students to relevant resources such as academic articles, books, and online courses that can aid their learning and research.
3. Constructive Feedback - always give timely feedback on students' work, discuss in detail in dedicated session and celebrate small achievement (when needed) or provide encouragement to overcome challenge.
