Dr Kamarul Amin Abdullah is a medical imaging scientist who has an interest in clinical diagnostic radiography and digital image processing. His research is mainly focused on how to improve the current medical imaging protocols and enhance the detection of clinical indicators of diseases. His publications and research works have been actively disseminated through many international journals and annual scientific meetings across the globes. He has been invited by many national and international institutions as a guest speaker in their conferences and seminars. He has published a number of book chapters and a few high-quality books. He is recognised as an active peer reviewer at many scientific or peer-reviewed journals such as Academic Radiology, Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences, Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences and Radiography Journal. He has been appointed as one of the International Advisory Boards and Editor for the international journals. He is an active member of the Malaysian Society of Radiographers and a regular member of Persatuan Saintis Muslim Malaysia.
Currently, he is now a senior lecturer at the School of Medical Imaging in the Faculty of Health Sciences UniSZA. He is teaching a number of courses and his main courses taught at the school are digital image processing, nuclear imaging, and computed tomography. His way of teaching to ensure students involves getting participation and engagement of students throughout the course. He has used different platforms to ensure the students has accessed to the lecturer and always communicate interactively with them.
