Methods of Teaching/Supervising/Assessing
Effective teaching requires appropriate methods to ensure students can engage with our class. I have particularly chosen various methods when delivering my lectures and during tutorial sessions. For example, as with the pandemic era, a platform such as Youtube is the main source for me to deliver my lecture. All my lectures are recorded and uploaded into the Youtube to ensure it is accessible to them whenever they are as long as the internet line is ON. Some of the students have preferred this method since they can choose their time to watch the lecture at any time. In other words, it allows flexibility to the students when or where they want to watch the lectures.

Some feedback from students:
“Saya lebih suka pengajaran secara asynchronous kerana saya boleh tonton recorded lecture pada waktu malam. Synchronous learning pada waktu pagi okay je cuma tu lah, kena bangun pagi hehe. So far, subjek ni paling seronok dalam semester ni sebab ada matlab. overall, dr kamarul is the best.”
For tutorials, I usually used the platform such as the KELIP and other social media such as telegram and WhatsApp. All questions will be uploaded into the KELIP system and they are required to submit their questions. They can ask or discuss in WhatsApp or telegram during the class session. Any answer will be informed on time.
Example of using Telegram:
On some occasions, group discussions will be also conducted online. Some tips on how to answer the questions will be discussed online using the Webex platform. A recorded session will be distributed to all of them after the end of class.
